My Kick03 just got here and I mounted it up to my LEAP09 with an Acro P2 tonight. Much to my disappointment I can’t fit my finger between the scope rings and acro body to turn my brightness down. I’ve always loved Scalarworks products (I have probably half a dozen of their mounts) but wish I’d passed on the Kick and picked up a stand-alone offset mount instead. This is a pretty big miss on the part of SW’s designers. Thankfully I still have an old Acro P1 which offers a little more clearance and allows me to change brightness. Not excited about having to go back to changing batteries every 4 weeks though…

Nice mount but surprised no one mentions the issue I have which is for right handed shooters paired with a Plx 1-8c.. I cant access the battery cap or the lower brightness control? I realize this is partly due to the design of the acro having left side controls but seems like something Scalar should have seen right away as I have.. it’s a real pita and requires tool to dial down brightness and essentially removal of the mount to replace batteries. Love scalar stuff in general but not very impressed with this application.

Optic is amazing and sits perfectly on the LEAP mount. The turrets on my Vortex Razor HD II E (1-6x) are short enough that they do not block the view of the Acro. The only small possible issue is the controls of the Acro are on the left side and for the right handed Kick mount, it is a tight squeeze for the finger to manipulate the “down” button. So if you have fat fingers, I can see a possible issue with having difficulty with manipulating the down button on the Acro. The angle of the mount is perfect and it does not require very much movement to acquire the dot. Well worth the money.

I like the option of adding the offset mount without taking up additional rail space
