Designed for discerning shooters who want the familiarity of classic AR-15 fixed iron sights, while demanding modern features, refined styling, and world class build quality. Available in 1.42” height.
In making the Peak Sights we left no stone unturned and few parts untouched.
Every major component is custom designed with meaningful improvements to function, and precision CNC machined to the highest standards of fit & finish.
Peak Sights are designed around a modern 15" sight radius. While carbine length rifles have become the norm, most fixed iron sights still use components designed for the M16A2's 20" sight radius.
Peak Sights have manually adjustable elevation (front) and windage (rear): Both with a refined 0.5MOA/click, which matches most Red Dot sights'.
The Peak sight post is CNC machined to the correct width for a 15" sight radius, non-rotating for finer adjustment, and flat faced to eliminate highlight bias.
The human eye intuitively centers objects within a bright aperture.
Peak Sights have precision CNC milled apertures that are flat toward the shooter, so they won't create highlight bias.
Stock A2 peep apertures are cast and have a scallop facing the shooter that can generate a misleading highlight.
Engineered to be the lightest fixed iron sights in existence, without compromising an ounce of strength.
All Trademarks are the property of their respective owners and used in accordance with FTC Comparative Advertising guidelines. All parts weighed under the same conditions, including hardware necessary to attach to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail.
Every Peak sight is CNC milled from 7075-T6 aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.
Peak Sights have a streamlined profile free of protruding levers and knobs that won't rap your knuckles, or get caught on clothing, gear, and surroundings.

Note: I am reviewing the rear sight as a standalone unit rather than the front/rear set.
Pros: nice design, lightweight, looks great aesthetically, with no protruding knobs and a tool-less windage adjustment.
Cons: numerous proprietary idiosyncrasies. The rear aperture sits higher than the “A2 height” claimed — noticeably higher than comparable aftermarket fixed and folding rear sights made by other vendors. This becomes readily apparent if you have a co-witnessed red dot and then swap the rear sight out with this one. And because the threading is proprietary, one can’t swap out the rear aperture with aftermarket .052/.200 or .046/.200 apertures.
I originally bought a standalone rear sight two years ago intending to pair it with a standard taper-pinned F-height A2 front sight base on an irons-only dissipator build. I found that in order to zero my rifle at 50 yards, I had to raise my front sight post to a height flush with the height of the sight base’s ears, maxing out the elevation adjustment. For this reason, I was unable to zero my rifle at 100 yards as I originally wanted.
TL;DR: Fell short of expectations after using for more than a year on an irons-only build used in practical/action rifle competitions. The rear sight does not work well when paired with a pinned A2 front sight base (tested on two rifles). Works well only when used with Scalarworks’ own handguard-mounted sight.

Sorry to hear that you’re not completely satisfied with your Peak sight. This is the first such complaint we’ve gotten regarding front F-Type sight base compatibility. Please contact our support team to see if they can help you resolve your issues: https://scalarworks.com/contact/

The Scalarworks Peak sights are exactly what I wanted. Smart. Strong. Simple. Lightweight. I will be buying more.

Incredible product–the precision in manufacturing is all here. The PEAK sights are very well designed and thought out. They slid onto my upper’s rail with extremely tight tolerances. No slop or play, at all. Very impressive product.

Not just best in class, but in a class by itself.
