We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.

A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.

The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

    While I have not fielded it yet.
    I did get the optic attached to the mount and the system mounted to the Noveske 11.5″ Commando upper.
    I’m very happy with the overall interaction with Scalarworks.
    1st time user and buyer.
    It shipped well packaged and as soon as opened, you could tell it is a quality item.
    I’ve always been a LaRue customer, but now see myself switching full-time to Scalarworks at this point.
    Zero complaints so far.
    Easy to order, fast to ship, accurate shipping and well packaged. Quality mount and easy to assemble. Mount seems sturdy and rigid once mounted, as advertised by Scalarworks. I can see why Scalarworks is so desirable.
    I went with the “absolute co-witness” mount height, as that is what I prefer.
