We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.

A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.

The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

I’m a big fan of light weight carbines and if you get this setup you are going to stay light or save the weight for something else. I highly recommend the T2 with a Scalarworks mount.

    I have my LEAP on a Holosun 503 and it works beautifully. I was a little reluctant spending $150 on a mount for a $150 dollar optic, but I’m glad I did. It’s been everything they said it’d be and more. Deserves more than 5 stars!

    The product is great quality. It mounts easily and quickly and works well once sighted in for the rifle.

    My recommendation for improvement is around communication. You ought to communicate (if you do already I missed it) that you sight in the scope at 25 yards on an actual rifle. I spent a lot of wasted time re-sighting it in and could have just left it as it was.

    Just a thought. Great product and thanks!

      We do not sight in bundled optics. We inspect them for function and attach them to the mount. If your T-2 bundle was zeroed to your rifle and ammo at 25 yards then it was just a happy coincidence.
