We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.

A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.

The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

    Scalarworks mounts are second to none. Lightweight with rock solid QD. I especially like the LEAP/01 for being open underneath, allowing use of low-pro irons without removing the red dot. I use the 1.42” on an AK, Galil Ace, & MP5 which allows use of the built-in iron sights, while the 1.93” will allow use of Troy Micros on a flattop AR style application. I’ll continue to use Scalarworks, nothing but positive experience.

    The tallest one is too big to co witness flip up sights, but it works perfectly by itself for the optic. The quick detachment system is incredible and there is absolutely zero movement on the rail. Incredible product and I would highly recommend the mount.
