We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.

A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.

The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

    So I have a few of Scalarworks products. I have two Leap01’s, one at 1.93 and one at 1.57. I also have the Leap08 1.93 and some folding Peak’s at 1.93. They ALL perform flawlessly. I’m super impressed by Scalarworks build quality and ingenuity, these things are solid at the same time being light enough to not weigh down the rifle. I used to run Unity stuff but I like these way better. They all were super easy to install and the leveling screw in the Leap08 had my LVPO leveled in five minutes. I highly recommend these mounts, if you are reading these reviews trying to decide if you want one or not, stop delaying and buy one right now. You will not be disappointed. I’ve already recommended them to everyone in the various classes and training I’ve been in these past few months. Just do it!

    Perfect height for aimpoint t2 on the sp5/mp5 platform. Be sure to team this mount up with the MFI ultra low mount from hkparts (or something as low). Unobstructed iron’s view through the scalarworks mount, nice unobstructed “above the front site” red dot.

    This combo works with HK sp5 9mm and HK mp5 .22lr (umerex). There, saved you all the research. Quality
