We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.
The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

Top notch quality. I purchased the Comp M5 on a lower 1/3 mount after debating on getting another micro t-2 or PRO, regardless, I wanted to try out the Scalarworks mount. Not in any way disappointed with my purchase. The sight is an Aimpoint so I expected nothing less than top quality. The mount, is outstanding, I was worried that it wouldn’t stay tight or get tight enough due to the thumbscrew, that is, until I got it mounted. It’s exceptionally designed and machined. Took it out 2 days ago (12/15) on my BCM middy. Once zeroed, I was banging steel at 150 yds no problem. I only put 210 rounds down range so far with it but it held no problem. Definitely not my last purchase from Scalarworks. Worth every penny imo. Thanks to everyone there for putting out an excellent product. Ps, the packaging was also great. The sight was vacuum sealed and put in a Scalarworks box.

Just received my Comp M5 bundle today from Scalarworks. I was impressed with the packaging. Like someone has stated, it was vacuum sealed and in their own box. Furthermore, the Aimpoint tool, manual and a torx bit were also vacuum sealed. Attention to detail means a lot. I most certainly appreciate when companies sweat the small stuff. Can’t wait to put this optic/mount combo through its paces. Everything is top quality. Not my first Aimpoint (PRO and Micro T-2 both on Larue mounts), it is, however, my first Scalarworks mount but not my last. I was worried about tightening the mount to rail with the thumbscrew. Turns out, nothing at all to worry about. This mount is designed very well imo. Very happy I ended up getting this over another PRO, T-2 or TA31.
