Every Leap mount is CNC milled from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

A fluted crown requires only the torque from your bare hand to securely clamp the mount onto a rail, and uses the force from a spring-loaded ball-detent to make it completely recoil proof. Return-to-zero is guaranteed as long as the same person takes it on and off.

Amazing. So light, such solid. Wow. Perfect balance between retention and flipping ease. Standoff in open position is enough that you can rotate your gun 45° and do a quick scan through it. Yet it hugs the gun to where balance shift isn’t noticeable. KAC Micro rear BUIS fits nicely under the 3X-C. The “One” ring mounting system for the magnifier is convenient: 25 in-lb torque on two screws and done. Weight: 10.25oz with magnifier, plus another 4.5 for a Micro T2 with its LEAP mount. I prefer this setup over an LPVO due to constant-on illumination, true 1x with big eye box, and can remove the mag when I want to lighten up. There’s no wiggle in closed or open position, which is important if you use two-eyes-open shooting with magnifier closed like you do with an ACOG. Wiggle would otherwise throw off your POA/POI. On the magnifier you can align the dot position to work with that method. Overall, can’t think of any improvements to this mount. It’s perfect.

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this mount and I could not be happier. The fit and finish is typical Scalarworks and the flip to side mechanism is excellent. Now if I could just get one in the 1.93 height.
