Smart Structure
The LEAP/09 base incorporates different structural elements to maximize overall performance.
A large diameter tubular section up front to resist torsion from side impacts, and a very wide I-beam bridge in the rear to resist recoil induced oscillations.
Every Leap mount is CNC milled from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

It’s a super solid mount. I ordered it with a bundled ATACR so the scope was mounted and naturally I took it off to play with the mount. Sorry who ever mounted that.
The mount is a tank but simultaneously very light. I normally level my own scopes and after a check the leveling screw does it’s job perfectly.
I’ll be picking up a 30mm next.

Leap/09 in 1.57 inch height with right hand RDS Trijicon SRO/ EoTech 1-10 Vudooooooooo. I kept debating, researching, debating some more, but in the end just buy the damn mount. The only problem you’ll have is saving up for the second mount you’ll buy.
