The Leap is the strongest Aimpoint Duty RDS Quick-Detach mount we've ever tested.
We tested a variety of quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our original Quick-Detach mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.
Every Leap mount is CNC machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

Professionally assembled at our factory in Easton, PA. All of our optics are sourced directly from the manufacturer. Our expert optics technicians visually inspect and function test every optic. Bundles are assembled using high precision torque drivers to the optic manufacturer’s specifications.

What’s the most compelling argument I can make in favor of the Scalarworks LEAP mount/Aimpoint Comp M5/M5s combo? How about this: I own SIX of ’em. I also own a LEAP-13/Comp M4 combo and a LEAP-9 paired with a NightForce 5-25 x 54 F1 optic–but who’s counting?

Purchased the Leap/10 Aimpoint Duty RDS combo(can’t beat the price!). Fantastic product. Fit, function, and finish are flawless. 1.93 is perfect height for the X95. Was contacted within a couple hours of purchase, by a CS rep, re: a shipping issue. Shipping to Alaska gets a bit wonky when certain batteries are concerned. Issue was resolved promptly and I couldn’t be more impressed with how quickly the product was shipped and delivered. This is my second Scalarworks purchase, and my third, Leap/06 magnifier combo, is already in the shopping cart.
