Scalarworks LEAP Aimpoint CompM4s mount

LEAP/13

State of the art Aimpoint CompM4s mounts.

Designed for shooters who want the lightest, strongest, and most compact quick-detach red dot sight mount possible. The LEAP/13 redefines the standard for mounting your Aimpoint CompM4s footprint compatible optic to your AR-15's Picatinny top rail. Available in both 1.57” and 1.93” optic heights.

ONE ZERO

Leap mounts hold and return to zero under any condition. Guaranteed.

LIGHT MADE RIGHT

Engineered to be the lightest Aimpoint CompM4s QD mount, without compromising an ounce of strength.

The LEAP/11 is precision CNC machined from all six sides out of a single piece of 7075-T6 Aluminum billet to ensure the ideal strength-to-weight ratio.

MIGHTY MOUNT

The Leap is the strongest Aimpoint CompM4s Quick-Detach mount we've ever tested.

We tested a variety of quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our original optic mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.

Scalarworks LEAP Aimpoint CompM4s mount clamp

A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.

Scalarworks LEAP Aimpoint CompM4s mount FEA

During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.

Scalarworks Leap Aimpoint CompM4s mount 7075-T6 vs 6061-T6

Every Leap mount is CNC machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

Scalarworks LEAP Aimpoint CompM4s mount Low Profile

SMOOTH IS FAST

Quick-Detach with no protruding levers or knobs.

The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

Scalarworks Leap Scope mount ClickDrive quick-detach system

ClickDrive®

The world's most efficient quick-detach.

ClickDrive is a tool-free quick-detach system that self-adjusts to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, making it a breeze to move your optic from rifle to rifle. Its low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach the mount onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof. Since ClickDrive is a timed system, return-to-Zero is guaranteed as long as the same person takes it on and off.

EVOLVED

The Leap mount is the most deliberate evolution of our original design.

Scalarworks Leap Picatinny Mount generation 1

From its introduction in 2014, the original Low Drag Mount featured our recoil proof ClickDrive® Quick-Detach mechanism, a precision telescoping clamp with world class return-to-zero, and a CNC machined base with the industry's highest strength-to-weight ratio, all while being as low-profile as a fixed bolt-on mount.

Scalarworks Picatinny Mount generation 2

In 2015, the second-generation Low Drag Mount became the first Quick-Detach mount ever to be CNC machined from 7075-T6. Its external edges were rounded to minimize stress risers, the thumbscrew was Black Nitrided, and a pair of integral shear lugs was added to the clamp to further improve lateral impact resistance.

Scalarworks Picatinny Mount generation 3

Today, the Leap mount features our strongest base with a forward lean to provide more room for magnifiers, and chamfered side pockets for improved thumbscrew access. The re-designed clamp has discreet hardened steel pins and a stopper to indicate when it's sufficiently open to clear a Picatinny rail.

Best mount I’ve ever owned with the easiest install.

I could say a great deal about the superior materials, machining, robustness, reliability, fit and finish, sound-function, and sexy looks of Scalarworks mounts. I could say the same of Aimpoint’s Comp M5, M5s and Comp M4s optics. However, as brevity is the essence of wit, I’ll say only this: I own four Comp M5-LEAP/01 combos, two Comp M5s-LEAP/10 combos, two Comp M4s-LEAP/13 combos, and a LEAP/09 paired with a NightForce 5-25 x 56 FFP scope. That’s nine LEAP mounts and eight optics bundles purchased through Scalarworks. One spends that much money only if the product is incomparable. If it’s not Scalarworks, it’s not the best money can buy. Period
