Christopher Mulholland (verified owner) –
Like the FUSE mount, this thing is well-machined, light, and rock-solid. One negative thing I’ll say about this is I was definitely feeling nervous when tightening the screws to the specified torque. You know that feeling you get when you’re tightening something and it’s about to strip or snap in half? Yeah, felt that the entire time I was installing my RMR sight.
I chose the low mount, and ironically, it’s almost too high as it is. Not sure if this is a problem with the concept or if it’s just the height of my particular optic setup. So, I would not recommend the high mount unless you’re a giant or shooting with a super high head position (even relative to other NV shooting positions).
However, my worries were unfounded, because once my torque wrench beeped for the setting (I think it was 15 in-lbs, whatever was written on the mount), I realized everything was fine. After a couple range trips, and 650-ish rounds, this thing hasn’t shifted an inch and neither of the screws have backed out. All in all, a great partner for the FUSE optic; and I’m happy with mine.
