We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.

Unbeatable quality. I mounted it to my new DDM4V7 and zeroed it without issue. Immediately after shooting 200 rounds down range I accidentally knocked my rifle over onto concrete and it fell right onto the aimpoint T2. Neither the mount nor the optic sustained any damage. It even held zero the next time I went to the range! Can’t recommend this product enough.

I did some night Air Soft games with friends, wanted to shoot passive, so ripped my T2 and Scalarworks mount off my rifle. Worked great for passive!!! 1.93 variety.
Then, had a rifle class with the awesome Bob Keller, slapped the T2 back on my rifle, and prayed for the best, lol. It wasn’t until after the class did I realize that my zero didn’t change at all!!!! Which was a relief, when taking a class like that, you DON’T want to be THAT guy, lol. And he has fairly high standards of aiming- having an off zero would screw the pooch in his training.
Sorry, not sorry, done with American Defense- which I loved, but $$$$. Just ordered a Scalarworks for my Ta11. Keep up the good work guys!
