We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.

This mount is absolutely second to none, it is the most intuitive and well thought out mount in the industry. The fact that the bundle is put together PROPERLY and ready to go out of the box is a nice bonus. Everything from the customer service to the product and swag is top notch. Lastly, the owner is an awesome guy, we spoke over the phone several times about several things. He is a gun guy through and through and knows his stuff. I will absolutely only be using scalarworks mounts from now on.

This is as good as it gets. Installed with my Holosun micro on my BCM 16″ in a matter of minutes. Once you try this quick detach method, you will never want to go back to a traditional mount. It just makes no sense with this as an option. And, it’s lighter than any of the others on the market. Win, win. Just forget about the extra cost and buy it. You get what you pay for!

This is the mount to get! I Searched for several weeks trying to find the perfect mount. I had searched every well known brand out there and was close to purchasing one, the. I came across the name scalarworks and decided to check them out. What caught my attention was the amazing design, looks matter to me. After seeing the round knob i was not sure at first because I was so used to seeing latches, or super quick releases. Finally between reviewing how well this mount seemed for others I wanted it. This mount is so light weight and looks beautiful paired with my Aimpoint T2. The twist button knob is actually perfect and I’m glad it is not anything else. It’s quick and easy to put on and take off with no hassle. It is light weight and strong. I wanted a light weight, strong and beautiful build and that’s what I got. Packaging was great got some goodies, to me a company that cares about the looks and packing of their product says a lot and to me that type of attention to detail as such says one thing. They care about their product and care about what their customers think about the product. Only thing I wish scalarworks would do is advertise more because I almost bought the wrong product before I saw their name.

I’m very pleased with the LDM mount ! I used to use the Larue mounts but really didn’t like the level sticking out to the side. When I came across the LDM it seemed like the ideal mount, but I wasn’t sure about the mounting system. When I received my LDM my concerns of the mounting system went away. The detent on the mount is strong enough to get it nice and secure on your rifle while still being easy to remove. These mounts are expensive but well worth the cost !
