The Leap is the strongest Aimpoint Micro T-2 Quick-Detach mount we've ever tested.
We benchmarked all of the top quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our Aimpoint Micro T-2 mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

The LEAP for any of the red dot patterns is, without a doubt, one of the best mounts and arguably the best QD mount available.
An understated benefit of the design is its compatibility with non AR iron sight arrangements like those found the FAL, CZ Scorpion, or Galil ACE. In those instances running a higher dot is usually quite comfortable, emulating the feel of 1.93 type mounts on AR’s, however the flush iron sight arrangements native to the rifles become unusable with most mounts, not the LEAP.
The LEAP retains their usability, making it so that running a higher dot doesn’t remove your BUIS even though you do not have a ‘co-witness’. This platform flexibility, combined with the lightweight, mount strength, and QD capability, make the mount nearly peerless.

This is something that will change your shooting experience. It is a lot of money, but it is well worth the price of admission. If you are going to trust your life to a rifle, and you are going to have a red dot, it doesn’t get much better than an Aimpoint. If you are going to have an Aimpoint, the Scalarworks mount is something that you should give some serious consideration due to its design and features.

Ordered leap mount and Aimpoint t2 combo. Combo comes already mounted and properly torqued. Super easy to install. Rock solid feel once hand tightened on weapon . The lightest, most solid mount I’ve used so far .
