MIGHTY MOUNT
The Leap is the strongest Trijicon MRO Quick-Detach mount we've ever tested.
We tested a variety of quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our original Trijicon MRO mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.
Every Leap mount is CNC machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

The LEAP mount lets you shoot at your very best by eliminating snag hazards and putting nothing in the way of weapon manipulations. With its industry leading ClickDrive quick-detach mechanism, the Leap mount is symmetrical, protruding less than 7mm from either side of your Picatinny rail.

ClickDrive is a tool-free quick-detach system that self-adjusts to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, making it a breeze to move your optic from rifle to rifle. Its low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach the mount onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof. Since ClickDrive is a timed system, return-to-Zero is guaranteed as long as the same person takes it on and off.
EVOLVED
The Leap mount is the most deliberate evolution of our original design.
From its introduction in 2014, the original Low Drag Mount featured our recoil proof ClickDrive® Quick-Detach mechanism, a precision telescoping clamp with world class return-to-zero, and a CNC machined base with the industry's highest strength-to-weight ratio, all while being as low-profile as a fixed bolt-on mount.
In 2015, the second-generation Low Drag Mount became the first Quick-Detach mount ever to be CNC machined from 7075-T6. Its external edges were rounded to minimize stress risers, the thumbscrew was Black Nitrided, and a pair of integral shear lugs was added to the clamp to further improve lateral impact resistance.
Today, the Leap mount features our strongest base with a forward lean to provide more room for magnifiers, and chamfered side pockets for improved thumbscrew access. The re-designed clamp has discreet hardened steel pins and a stopper to indicate when it's sufficiently open to clear a Picatinny rail.

Pricy? Not when you get the quality this mount has. Nothing I’m aware of compares to the ease of use and the strength this mount has. It works as advertised and greatly exceeds my expectations. I have owned about every mount made over the years, nothing comes close. This is my fourth purchase, from their fixed sights to one of the thirty mm scope mounts. Each one top quality, you just won’t believe until you get one in your hands and use it. You won’t regret buying any of these products.

All-around amazingly pleased. I ordered on a Sunday evening and it was ready to ship within a few hours. Super fast delivery. I ordered the MRO HD with the true co-witness height mount. Looking around, this was still the best deal over anything else I could find separately. So price was spot on with the added benefit that everything was pre-assembled and locked down. I was literally able to pull it out of the box and mount it right on my AR pistol without any tools. The mount is rock solid, with absolutely no play to the firearm or the optic. You can feel the quality and craftsmanship, very smooth edges and tactile clicks on the locking wheel. For my build the true co-witness mount at first felt low, but after getting used the new firearm and adjusting my shoulder position, I’m right on it every time. I also prefer that I minimize height over bore. I’m very happy with this purchase and would buy again on my next build.
