Form Follows Performance
The LEAP/08 base incorporates different structural elements to maximize overall performance.
A large diameter tubular section up front to resist torsion from side impacts, and a very wide I-beam bridge in the rear to resist recoil induced oscillations.
Every Leap mount is CNC milled from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

Overall machining and assembly quality is top notch. Leveling screw makes mounting an optic an absolute breeze. Ratcheting finger screws also make installation incredibly easy. Long-term durability is yet to be determined, but for what it’s worth, mount (and mounted LPVO) remained rock solid after a weekend of training in the mountains (rifle and optic got whacked pretty good on some rocks).
