The Leap is the strongest Holosun AEMS Quick-Detach mount we've ever tested.
We tested a variety of quick-detach mounts on a digital test stand capable of exerting up to 1500lbs of force. We then used this data to refine our original optic mount design, culminating in the LEAP; a quick-detach mount that is both the lightest and strongest on the market today.
A highly efficient clamp design guarantees precise operation and unprecedented rigidity: It features an oversize hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides.
During its development, the Leap mount was subjected to dozens of stress tests before a single prototype was ever made. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) helped extract every bit of performance from every gram of material. This cutting-edge design process has resulted in the most efficient mount design possible.
Every Leap mount is CNC machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

I installed a Holosun AEMS on a LEAP/11 1.93″ riser, mounted on a Radical Firearms AR-15. This is a fine weapon but not the lightest. I had previously had an LPVO with offset red dot, but found it added too much weight. The LEAP/11 is ultra lightweight but strong, and mounts the AEMS solidly to the rail. The LEAP/11 plus AEMS is a light but excellent shooting option. I also mounted the PEAK/02 folding iron sights in 1.93″. These are excellent BUI sights to aim through the AEMS, and keeps the total weapon weight to a minimum.
The LEAP/11 arrived promptly after ordering from Scalarworks, but there was an initial issue in the assembly. I contacted Scalarworks and they IMMEDIATELY sent corrective parts. In a couple days the mount was 100% and I am completely satisfied with the LEAP/11 and PEAK/02. Customer service and response is superb.

This setup is awesome looks good and feels rock solid. You can tell this company truly cares about the product they sell. The way they package and send it to the customer is outstanding. I expected to receive the sight mounted in a box wrapped in paper which is fine. But they sent it all nice and tidy with installation instructions and all the tools required to install. They didn’t stop there they also sent out a few extra things to maintain your optic just to say thanks for buying there product. I will happily continue doing business and recommend them to anyone that is looking for weapon mounts.
