Form Follows Performance
The LEAP/08 base incorporates different structural elements to maximize overall performance.
A large diameter tubular section up front to resist torsion from side impacts, and a very wide I-beam bridge in the rear to resist recoil induced oscillations.
Every Leap mount is CNC milled from 7075-T6 Aluminum billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061-T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations.

ClickDrive's low-profile thumbscrew and low-friction telescoping clamp require only the torque from your bare hand to securely attach onto a rail. An integrated spring-loaded ball-detent exerts enough force against the crown to make it completely recoil proof.

I have 3 of these (Sig 553R, Sig Virtus, 6.5 AR10. They are excellent. Easy to level. Easy to mount. Light weight. 1.93 works behind a Dbal wirh an lpvo and behind a pvs 30. Only downside is the left handed side kick is not available. I’ve got to the point I just add the price of this mount into the optic.
